Southsea has many independent
shops which make it a pleasure to browse around
There are some high street names but not many,
two of the largest being Knight and Lee (John
Lewis Partnership) and Debenhams. Marmion
road has some delightful gift shops Interior
Trading Company being one.Victoriana has plenty
of good quality pine furniture, old and new
in one of it's stores and the other deals
in mainly maghogony furniture and beds. If
you like Jewellery then Barabara Tipple Jewellery
is the place to go, an award winning jeweler.
A walk around the shops will give you an appitite.Waitrose
is the only supermarket in Southsea andhas
the largest car park.Parking is free for a
few hours if you purchase goods and get your
car pass stamped.There are plenty of Restaurants
and cafe's to stop and rest an refuel at.
Knight and Lee has been a presence in Southsea`s
main shopping area since 1887, but the origins

Just around the corner from Southsea shopping
center is Albert Road which joins on to Highland
road .If you fancy a treat at the start of
the shopping then vist my friends fish and
chip shop, The
Kingfisher.You can wander
down Albert Road where there are a variety
of small specialist shops, including designer
clothes, magazine, and record shops,specialist
toy shops,second hand shops, antiqes shops,barbers
and hairdressers and many more wonderful indepent
shops . The Ark charity shop is a good place
to buy furniture for student, all the profits
go to the Ark andimal charity.For lunch try
the wine vaults or citrus caf'e. If you get
to the end of Highland road then turn right
and find the Eastney Tavern public house where
they serve a brilliant meal. |
